21st Century HIV in Wales – Photo Exhibition

Our photo exhibition 21st Century HIV is now available for download in A3 or higher in A1-poster format on our website. This is made up of twelve panels that showcase people living well with HIV in Wales, and discusses stigma, disclosure, and resource. HIV Engagement (HIVE) Project

The HIV Engagement (HIVE) project was launched in Cardiff and Vale in 2023 to focus on the issues around engagement with HIV care.

HIV Education: Resources for Schools in Wales

In 2024, Fast Track Cymru partnered with WNO, the Cardiff Curriculum Unit, and the Vale for a “Three Letters” legacy project, curating a series of creative arts resources on the theme of HIV education which have been made available to all school learners in Wales.

HIV Community Quilt (North Wales)

We celebrated World AIDS Day 2024 in North Wales, with the launch of the Betsi Community Quilt – a colaboration between the Equalities Dept at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Psychology Dept at Bangor University, and Fast Track North Wales.

A short guide to the HIV Action Plan for Wales – published in March 2023.

The HIV Action Plan for Wales was launched on 7 March 2023 and includes a number of key commitments for the next three years with funding attached to some of them from the Welsh Government. Representatives from Fast Track Cymru are on all Action Plan working groups.

Past projects and campaigns

Wales HIV Advocacy Network

The HIV Advocacy Network aimed to create an advocacy alliance including interested Welsh community groups and people living with HIV.

Texting 4 Testing

T4T is a simple intervention to increase access to HIV testing, improve understanding and decrease stigma about HIV. It is based on a highly successful pilot in one GP cluster (a group of GP surgeries working together locally) in South Cardiff.
